Farmington Public Schools provide students with a broad range of opportunities to develop their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Teachers use a variety of formal, informal, fiction, and nonfiction texts to cultivate students' ability to think critically about information.

Farmington Public Schools teachers follow the revised  Arkansas K-12 English Language Arts Standards and The Reading Initiative for Student Excellence (R.I.S.E. Arkansas) initiative that is required in the 2017 Right to Read Act.
