Farmington Senior Layne Taylor has been nominated for the 2024 McDonald's All-American Basketball Game. He is one of only four players in the state of Arkansas this year who have been given this honor. He is also the first male basketball athlete to be given this recognition in Farmington High School history.
This is just one of the many accomplishments Layne has earned in his storied career as a Cardinal. He is currently 4th in state history in scoring with 2,948 total points. He is also the all-time leader in assists in the state of Arkansas with 618. So far, he has been named all-state, all-state tournament, all-conference, and conference MVP in each of his freshman, sophomore, and junior years. His overall record at Farmington in those years is 109-11, with a current 37-game win streak at home.
With less than a month left in regular season play and the AAAA State Tournament being hosted at Farmington High School, Layne and his teammates hope to continue their success on the basketball floor.
