The Farmington School District proudly announces the esteemed inductees for the Class of 2024 into the Farmington Hall of Honor. This illustrious institution pays tribute to distinguished Farmington alumni, dedicated district staff members, and outstanding community members who have left an indelible mark or achieved remarkable milestones within our beloved school and town. Hall of Honor committee chairman Beau Thompson enthusiastically proclaims, "We are honored to welcome an exceptional group of inductees. This class epitomizes excellence in athletics and academics and celebrates individuals who played pivotal roles in shaping Farmington Public Schools into what it is today."

The Class of 2023 comprises six outstanding individuals: Evan Abrecht, Randall Lynch, Samantha Luther, Wesley Stevens, Ronnie Davis, and Cassie (Long) Story. We invite you to honor these extraordinary individuals at the Hall of Honor Banquet on October 9th at 6:00 PM. Tickets are exclusively available for purchase at https://gofan.co/app/school/AR16989. Evan Abrecht: A 2008 Farmington High School graduate, Evan was an excellent athlete and student. As a basketball player, he scored 1,323 total points and was selected All-Conference in 2007 and 2008 and All-State in 2008. In baseball, he led his team as a starting pitcher to the 2007 State Finals, where he appeared in every state tournament game. He was also named All-Conference and All-State in both 2007 and 2008. He was selected to the AHSCA West All-Star Baseball and Basketball teams. He was third in his FHS graduating class with a G.P.A of 4.3. He was accepted into the United States Air Force Academy, where he played baseball and majored in Systems Engineering. As a starting pitcher, he was a four-time Academic Mountain West All-Conference, the 2012 Mountain West Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and voted the baseball team MVP in 2012. He graduated as the top cadet in his class in Systems Engineering. While serving in the United States Air Force, Evan completed the service rank of Captain. As a remote aircraft pilot, he flew 816 missions, totaling 2,510 flight hours. His wife, Taylor, is also an FHS Graduate, and his children Locklyn, Linc, and Layden are all current students at Farmington Public Schools. 

Randall Lynch: A 1960 graduate of Farmington High School, where he was both valedictorian and class president. He also played on and was voted captain of the first football team ever at Farmington in 1960, which was 6-man football at the time. He played basketball at FHS, where he was a two-time All-Conference and a team captain, and he also played baseball. Randall then worked at Farmington Public Schools as an educator from 1967-1995. Within that time, he served as a teacher, coach, principal, assistant superintendent, and finally as superintendent for his last nine years. He then drove a bus for the district until 2014, giving him 47 years of service to his school and community. The current middle school building at Farmington is named after him. Randall and his wife Peggy have two children, Wendy and Kara, who are both Farmington Graduates.

Samantha Luther: A 2009 graduate of Farmington High School, Samantha excelled in softball for the Lady Cardinals. During her tenure playing for Randy Osnes and Steve Morgan, she was selected All-Conference all four years and selected All-State in 2008 and 2009. She was selected to play in the AHSCA All-Star Game in 2009 to finish her senior season. Samantha then played two years of college softball at Crowder College, followed by another season at Central Baptist College, where she played softball and golf. Samantha now teaches Spanish and has been the Head Softball Coach at Gravette High School since 2021. She won the school’s first state title in 2023. That year, she was named Arkansas Activities Association Softball Coach of the Year, AHSCA Outstanding Coach of the Year, and NWA Democrat-Gazette Coach of the Year. 

Ronnie Davis: A 1968 graduate of Farmington High School, Ronnie was a standout in basketball and football, where he was a member of the first 11-man football team in 1965. After college, in 1973, he was hired as head girls basketball, head track, and assistant football coach at his alma mater. He then followed Coach Holland to Morrilton to be an assistant football coach, returning to Farmington as a coach and teacher for good in 1982. Coach Davis then served as head boys basketball, assistant boys basketball, assistant football, head girls golf, and track coach until 2012. In 2016, he returned to serve his school again as assistant boys basketball coach until 2020. Farmington won multiple football, basketball, and golf championships during his tenure, highlighted by football state titles in 1972 and 1973, girls golf runner-up in 2006, and state semi-final appearances in boys basketball in 2010 and 2011. The playing surface at Massie Gymnasium and Cardinal Arena are named after him and Brad Blew. Ronnie and his wife Glenda have two children, both FHS graduates, Brad and Katie, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. 

Cassy (Long) Story: A 2003 graduate of Farmington High School, was a multi-sport athlete and a leader both on and off the field. In her four-year high school softball career, coached by Randy Osnes, she led her team to four State Championship appearances and was voted All-Conference, All-Region, and All-State each season as a pitcher. In 2000, she pitched 187 innings, had 187 strikeouts, had an ERA of 1.73, and helped win the school’s first state title. In her senior year, she recorded 286 strikeouts with an ERA of 0.54. Two decades later, she is still 4th in career strikeouts and 10th in season strikeouts in the Arkansas state record books. She was also the first Arkansas high school athlete to earn a scholarship to play softball at the University of Arkansas. A knee injury cut her college career, but Cassy remains dedicated to the Farmington community. She has been an administrator in the Farmington district since 2021 and is currently the principal at Pop Williams Elementary. Cassy and her husband Rusty are proud parents of two children, Hudson and Harper, who attend Farmington Public Schools. 

Wesley Stevens: A 1975 Farmington High School graduate, Wesley stood out in football and basketball. His senior high football team, coached by Allen Holland, had a combined record of 34-2, with state titles in 1972 and 1973.  He was All-District and All-Conference all three years and selected All-State in 1973. In basketball, he was All-Conference two years and played in the state tournament under coach Randy Lynch. Weley’s contributions to the community of Farmington did not end with his athletic career. He served fifteen years on the Farmington School Board from 1998-2013. Wesley married his high school sweetheart Lisa and had four children, Josh, Jo Beth, Jordan, and Jackson, who all graduated from Farmington. He and Lisa proudly had children in the Farmington School District for 27 consecutive years. 

The Hall of Honor Committee, entrusted with the selection of inductees who have made substantial contributions to the Farmington School District or the Farmington Community, comprises former school board members and graduates Jeff Oxford and Tony Parsely, Athletic Director and former FHS basketball coach Beau Thompson, FHS Assistant High School Principal and graduate Clayton Williams, graduate and current District Associate Athletic Director at Fayetteville Liz Caudle, and graduate and former FHS coach Ronnie Davis.
