Farmington Public Schools has launched a new webpage to provide comprehensive information about the upcoming 2025 Millage Election Proposal. The page is designed to answer key questions about the millage's necessity and potential economic impact on the school district and the local community.
Over the past five years, Farmington has experienced significant growth, with an increase of more than 400 students. This rapid expansion has pushed school facilities to near capacity, making the proposed millage essential to ensuring the district can continue to provide quality education and accommodate future growth. The Arkansas Facilities Division recognizes Farmington as one of the state's top 5% growth districts.
Farmington Public Schools will host a public meeting at the FJHS Cafeteria on March 17th, 2025, at 6:00 PM to discuss the millage proposal further. Administration, architects, and board members will be present to share details and answer community questions.
“We encourage community members to visit the webpage and attend the public meeting to stay informed about this important initiative,” stated Jon Laffoon, Superintendent of Farmington Public Schools. “Our schools are experiencing significant growth, and this proposal is essential for maintaining the high educational standards our students deserve.”
